Vintage Dream

Last night I had a dream. I dreamed I had a Jazz bass - but with two P-Bass pickups on it. It had a Les Paul Gold Top Finish and a pearl scratchplate... and I was on tour with it for ten years. I really rocked the sh*t out of that bass. Then I woke up. Was it really true?

Not all of it - but the bass was right next to my bed.

We used Roasted Maple here: Roasted maple is baked at 160 degrees Celsius in a special oven, often used for necks and fingerboards. All the moisture goes out, the molecular structure changes, the wood takes on a chocolate brown colour, feels great and sounds ... somehow better, somehow vintage, as if the neck has been played for a long time. And all notes sound even all over the fingerboard - no dead spots.

Beauties

The GOLDEN GROOVE 2P bass shown here on the left was developed according to a pro customer´s specifications. A Jay body in "Aged Gold" nitro finish with light playing marks, equipped with two hand-wound Ray Gerold Precision pickups and a special passive circuit. The roasted neck has bindings and pearl block inlays and has been oiled for the ultimate playing feel. The Hipshot tuners also look nice and old. You can rock, groove, blues and jazz in a relaxed way.

If you own an original vintage bass, you don't want to take it to gigs or tours because if something breaks or even disappears, all hell breaks loose. Take it easy, our Vintage Dream workhorses give you the sound, feel and look we love. And you can safely leave the valuable originals at home. Conclusion: All the beloved characteristics of the vintage oldies come together in a Hot Wire Vintage Dream Bass upon customer request. The color and the degree of aging can be determined by the customer: slightly used, well rocked, or totally played down. We do that and the bank account is spared.
