SIX STRING BASS

When five strings are not enough

When you want limitless tonal Expression, go for six!

Back in the Day, in 2001, we created the first six-string Monsters for players looking for a bigger range and the ultimate tone. Here is a selection:

Hot Wire SL624 XXL: Headless and extra long - for the bass virtuoso

The eye catcher here is the flamed maple top on the swamp ash body. We filled the pores with black stain to pronounce the grain. It really shines under the hi-gloss PUR red finish.
The multistrip neck features hornbeam in the middle, flanked by strips of bubinga and maple. The fingerboard is made of compressed ebony and has 24 jumbo frets (2.7 mm).

The XXL scale is 91,5 cm/36 inches. Neck width at the nut is 57 mm, 84 mm at the 12th fret. String spacing at the bridge is 19 mm. We can do 17 mm string spacing and 34 inch long scale is also possible.

We added two graphite rods in the neck for additional stiffness and total even tonal response all over the neck in all positions. The headless tuning machines run super smooth thanks to the ball bearing we added. Two Hotwire Funderbuckers switchable (serial, parallel, single coil) are powered by a Noll 3Band (Vol, Pan, bass, mid, high).
